Glen Rocca's wife found this well preserved specimen of a coiled nautiloid in the Solon Member of the Little Cedar Formation. This fossil - which dates to around 385 million years old or so - actually belongs to the same family as the modern day Nautilus pompilius, which lives around coral reefs in the south Pacific.
